me, myself & the mighty web

A Designer by heart and a Developer by the soul

20+ years of web design and development while being a son, friend, brother, husband, father, barefoot runner, entrepreneur, CEO, blogger, trainer, and speaker; and still dreaming of being a full-time farmer one day.

Namaste, I am KriShne Gowda NL, a humble Kannadiga, and a proud Indian living in the royal city of Mysuru. So, I guess you came to this page to get a little more background on who I am, right? Here you go.

I’d call myself truly fortunate that I grew up with the Internet. I started coding websites in 1998, and by 2002 I was working as a full-fledged web developer. When I started web development, the World Wide Web (WWW) was in a very primitive stage. Highlights were Flash animations, Java Applets, tables for everything, slicing the images and very importantly, “No CSS“. Dreamweaver was a popular dev tool, and Netscape Navigator was a browser.

With 20+ years of web designing and development, what makes me unique is the end to end understanding of
UI –> UX –> Development –> Marketing –> Business

Early days

Born and bought up in the humble village Nagarakere (, in Mandya District, I spent my childhood in a confused state seeing the world change to the modern lifestyle. Being the 3rd child of the first Engineer of my village, I used to see many villagers coming to see my dad for their house plans. Got hands on those t-scale, drawing boards, various types of measurement scales, pens, pencils of different thicknesses, and papers of different sizes and thicknesses.

Childhood was fun; being the son of a civil engineer, living in a farmer’s family, playing with a bunch of cousins, enjoying the village life and seeing architectural designs on a day-to-day basis might be the reason for my inclination toward design and farming.

Bucket List

Here are some of my crazy goals, dreams, and aspirations that I hope to accomplish before I “kick the bucket“.

I’ll share my planning, preparation, and execution of each goal, as well as any challenges or obstacles I encounter along the way.
